Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer a discount for LSAC fee waiver recipients?
Yes. If you have an LSAC fee waiver, you can get 12 months of access for the price of 3 months. To apply, just contact me through the contact page or reach out to me on the Discord server. I wish I could do more, but LSAC charges me a royalty per user regardless of fee waiver status, so this is as far as I can go without breaking the bank. Either way, feel free to join the Discord community and ask me anything about the LSAT (or applications), even if you never upgrade to Plus. I'm happy to answer any and all questions.
What's the cancellation policy?
All sales are final, since you get access to the content the moment you upgrade. I highly recommend using up the free tier before deciding whether to upgrade.
What is LawHub Advantage and why is it required?
LawHub Advantage is a platform run by LSAC that gives you access to official, past LSAT questions. Every prep platform has to respect this: none of us can offer official LSAT questions unless you have LawHub Advantage. This is an industry wide requirement, not something specific to LSAT Self Prep. LawHub Advantage costs about $124 USD a year.
Do I need to buy LawHub Advantage separately?
If you already have LawHub Advantage, I'll link it to your LSAT Self Prep account. If you don't, you can purchase LawHub Advantage directly through LSAT Self Prep when you select a plan above.
What if my LawHub Advantage access expires before my LSAT Self Prep Plus access?
You'll lose access to LSAT questions on LSAT Self Prep until it's renewed. An active LawHub Advantage subscription is always required to access official LSAT content, on any platform.
*Can I pay monthly?
Unfortunately not. The per month figures are there for reference only because every plan is a single upfront payment. Licensing official LSAT content is expensive, and splitting that cost into monthly payments would mean charging more overall. The upside is that there's nothing recurring to cancel and no auto renewal to catch you off guard.
Do the plans auto renew?
No. Unlike a lot of subscription services, I don't do auto renewal. You'll always be able to see exactly when your Plus access expires, and you can decide whether to renew from there.
Why do CAD prices seem higher?
They aren't actually higher, they just reflect the exchange rate. My licensing agreement with LSAC is in USD, so CAD pricing is adjusted since the USD is stronger. That said, LSAT Self Prep is the only platform that accepts payment directly in CAD, so Canadian students avoid the foreign transaction fees most credit cards charge.
Why is there no free trial?
There's already a generous free tier you can use before deciding whether to upgrade to Plus.
Why should I trust you with my credit card info?
LSAT Self Prep uses Stripe to process all payments. Your card details never touch our servers, and I don't store or have access to them. Stripe is the same payment processor used by companies like Google, Amazon, Shopify, and DoorDash, so if you're comfortable paying on those platforms, you should feel just as comfortable here.
Do I have to pay tax?
Not right now. LSAT Self Prep is currently classified as a small supplier, so I'm not required to charge sales tax like HST, GST, or VAT. The price you see is the price you pay. I'll update this answer if that ever changes.
